A Portuguese family with roots in the region of Aveiro/Ílhavo, of which is known, on the XVI century, Heytor Laborinho, who followed the Portuguese king, D. Sebastião in the unfortunate journey of Africa, as a ship captain in 1578.
He was married in Aveiro with Filipa de Moraes, owner of St. Caterina´s Chapel, situated on that village, in its main church, named St. Miguel. That lady descended from Pedro Vicente de Moraes, who was a servant of Infant D. Pedro.
